Bee Mine 2.0

Recommended Posts

So bee mines are almost useless. But I had a great idea. Why not have an advanced version of the bee mine that you make with some boards, some gold, and a honeycomb, similar to a bee box. They would be a trap that could only be tripped similar to tooth traps, have infinite durability, but the catch is you have to stock them with killer bees, so after you craft them you can drag and drop a killer bee into it until its full. The killer bees you put in it don't respawn should they be killed so there is a durability factor in a sense, it gives reason to catch killer bees, is made with a finite resource (honeycomb) so couldn't be abused, and the killer bees would be aggressive towards whoever trigger the trap but should you stick around they'll aggro on you too to prevent it being OP. Have a max of say 4-6 killer bees per box. When there's nothing left to aggro they go back inside and the trap can be retripped.

What do you think guys?

I think bee mines aren't useless.

That's fine. They have their uses. But what're your thoughts on my suggestion. Is it OP? Is it not useful enough? I feel like its still more useful than a regular bee mine, do you disagree?

I appreciate your reply but it's just a statement not a criticism at all. You might as well have said "tooth traps are great!"

Bee traps are fine so no need for the 2.0

Tooth traps are OP.

Yea but it doesn't really matter that tooth traps only hit 1 mob, you can easily make a field of 100, which is generally easier than making enough bee mines to kill the same size group. On top of that you can reset the tooth traps easier than remaking all your bee mines. So in almost any situation where you could use bee mines, tooth traps are easier and just as effective, if not more so because they can be used multiple times with little effort.

Bee mines aren't as useful as they could be is my point, they're massively overshadowed by tooth traps, hence their usefulness is minimal. Unless combined with several bee boxes but even then when will you use them?

is this idea in honor of Valentines Day? hehehehe

jbeetle this was such a bad pun... y u do dis to me  :frown:

I don't understand the joke about valentines day... Man you guys really know how to crush a guy's spirit, guess ill just crawl down into a cave get eaten by a depth worm and keep my bad ideas off the forums.

The title "Bee Mine 2.0" sounds like "be mine" a sentence used to ask a girl/boy  to be your girlfriend/boyfriend.And theres no need to be sad about it, i made some crappy suggestions before, but one mistake shouldn't  make you give up of giving suggestions.

My comment had nothing to do with the quality of your idea, mind you. "Be mine."

NOW I GET IT HAHAHAHA.

*clears throat* Erghhgghgghmm. Lets us get things back on topic shall we.

I like this idea a lot. It is balanced and also adds to the variety of traps we currently have. I can see a lot of potential, however be aware if my bear idea is considered then this trap will be useless.
